Easily this takes the top spot this month- all thanks to you guys- because whenever it comes on at Volume, people's faces just instantly light up. If you don't know who Japanese mega-star Utada is yet you're probably a Gweilo who's only just moved to Asia. As for the rest of us, we've loved her for ages and her latest single from her 2nd English language album proves exactly why she's one of the hottest talents Asia has ever produced.

Love Resurrection (Sunfreakz Remix)- AURORA feat. AMANDA WILSON.

Oh, this one is such a scorcher that it instantly makes the room prick it's ears up when our DJs let it rip at Volume. Amanda Wilson is probably THE hottest go-to singer on the dance scene in the UK right now and this new collaboration with studio crew Aurora really proves it. Some of you might even recognize the song from the early 80's when first sung by ex-Yazoo frontwoman Alison Moyet. Here, Aurora and Amanda bring it back to life with a contemporary vocal house lashing of camp fabulousness.

Chemistry (Pete Hammond Retro Remix)- VELVET

Anyone young gay boy growing up through the 80's, especially in Europe, Asia and Australia, will be familiar with the Eurobeat sound that dominated the charts in the late 80's. Mega producers Stock/Aitken/Waterman were the pioneers of that sound- mixing underground house beats with bubblegum lyrics to create pop brilliance that either irritated or elated, depending on your taste. Pete Hammond was a part of that gaylicious heyday and was one the engineers at the PWL studios where the likes of Rick Astley, Bananarama and fresh-off the set of "Neighbours" Kylie came to have all their hits remixed. On "Chemistry", Swiss singer Velvet taps into Pete's retro sound which is clearly making a strong comeback in 2009, seeing the massive success of this track in Europe right now. Volume welcomes back the updated Eurobeat sound with open arms and hope you guys will too. Retro-tastic!

Single #2 from Clarkson's 3rd solo album "All I Ever Wanted" and, although not as instantly as catchy as "My Life Would Suck Without You"- it still translates fabulously on Volume's floor. Part house, part trance, part progressive...this gorgeous, floating vocal
house gem works great as a warm up track, a cool down track or right by the pool at sunset or sunrise. And it seems to really get you guys all tingly on our dance floor when we spin it. We've had several of you approach our DJs when this track comes on asking for what it is. One of the reasons we decided to revamp our website was to give you guys greater access to the tunes we play in the venue and Volume's monthly Hotplay Chart is your direct line to the hottest new releases. We predict this track to be one of the biggest hits of Summer 2009.

This one's become such a mainstay at Volume because it has all the right elements of a perfect house track. Says our resident DJ Stoneodg: "What I love most about DJ'ing is finding undiscovered gems by virtual unknowns and helping turn them into bona fide hits. Rarely a set goes by when I don't put this one on because as an artist myself, I respect a good underground song that deserves its chance in the spotlight. This track is testament to Volume's philosophy of supporting the underground since this song has now become one of the most requested tracks in the venue- and rightfully so".

Check out the new single from the diva of dance who first came to our attention fronting the 2000 Spiller hit "Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)".
