Janine Doggett is one of Hong Kong’s fun funky House DJ’s. DJ9 is known for not being able to resist dancing to her own tunes and is often seen bouncing around behind the decks. DJ9 says, “It’s all about house! Funky House, Disco House, Electro House and Progressive House!”

It all started in school for DJ9, making mixed tapes (yes tapes) for friends. The decks were finally purchased and the rest is history.

DJ9 loves playing in Hong Kong and believes, "This town is the city of life and has just so much energy. People in Hong Kong are a truly mixed bag and I love it." DJ9 is lucky enough to play at ‘Volume, the new funky Home and occasionally Drop.

DJ9 thinks,” Spinning at Volume is like spinning for your family. Like all good ‘family members', they can be critical yet totally encouraging and supportive, which helps me grow. I love it." She also says, “I've traveled to clubs all over the world and Hong Kong clubs like Drop and Homebase are hard to replicate. That might say more about the life force that is Hong Kong than the clubs themselves.”
